• An African-American schoolteacher gets paid and cashes her check. Her first stop is to a Black-owned dry cleaners to pick up her clothes, for which she pays $20. The owner of the cleaners pays her employee. The impact of $20 is now $40. That employee buys gas and a few goods from a Black-owned gas station. The $20 now has a $60 impact.
  
  Then, the gas station owner pays his employee. The impact has grown to $80. The gas station employee takes his girlfriend to the Magic Johnson theater to see a movie, increasing the buying power to $100. When the theater employee gets paid, the power of the schoolteacher's original twenty-dollar bill has grown to $120. All of them go to UjamaaMall to buy gifts, and necessities of life thus by increasing wealth in the Black community a hundred fold.
